Cromer - Cley - Blakeney Harbour - Cabbage creek - East Hills - Wells Harbour & Quay - Wells beach - Holkham Bay - Scolt Head Island - Burnham Ovary Staithe - Brancaster

Sailing on the North Norfolk coast is largely dictated by nature and what the weather, tides and sea state allow. Ed can accompany you to various destinations along the North Norfolk coast, and help build a passage plan and be on hand for pilotage in and out of the many destinations.

A favourite destination on the North Norfolk coast is Scolt Head Island, one of the most beautiful places in the U.K, having the joy of anchoring there for a weekend and exploring when the tide is in or out is an experience you will never forget. Building a good passage plan is important as both leaving Blakeney Harbour and entering Burnham Overy Staithe are challenging but extremely rewarding.

The trip will include a shorebased meeting to build the passage plan, discussing tides, tidal flow, weather, pilotage notes, hazards, provisioning and timing (amongst other items). We will then be able to plan suitable dates and the best part of completing the voyage.

Crossing the bar into the North Sea, setting sail, going where nature allows.

Make that passage happen that you’ve had in mind for a while. Leaving the harbour to enter the North Sea can be a daunting prospect; have Ed on hand for help on all aspects of pilotage and passage planning to make the experience enjoyable and less stressful.
